Christine Cheung is a Sydney based Film and Television Editor. Growing up with a love of animation, MGM musicals, Alfred Hitchcock, and the television series ‘Bill Collin’s Golden Years of Hollywood’.

She began her film career as an assistant editor on the films Happy Feet, Australia, Animal Kingdom and The Great Gatsby. She has cut the shorts Red Rover (SFF), Shiloh (MIFF), Chicken (BFI), You and Me Before and After (MIFF/ TIFF), Tui Na (Mardi Gras Film Festival) which won Best Short Film at My Queer Career 2023 and the web series Let’s Talk About Season 2 (Presto), Woes for ABC/Fresh Blood, and the feature films The Greenhouse and Nekrotronic.

The Greenhouse had its world premiere at Queerscreen - Mardi Gras Film Festival 2021 and its international premiere in the BFI Flare program. The Greenhouse won the audience choice award at the Mardi Gras Film Festival 2021.

ABC children’s series First Day was the recipient of the Rose d’Or Award for best Children and Youth Series, First Prize in the Live Action Television category at the Chicago International Film Festival, and an International Emmy for Kids: Live Action. First Day Season 2 was nominated for a Children’s and Family Emmy Award.

Recent TV shows include Totally Completely Fine - Stan, Significant Others on ABC iview, and AACTA nominated Appetite - SBS digital originals which was selected for Canneseries https://if.com.au/appetite-selected-for-canneseries, and AACTA nominated SBS original Erotic Stories.
